All the controls are straight forward and user friendly (kinda Mac like).I'm a little bummed one is on the fritz and think it should have lasted a little longer. For the money they are a great deal and very ez to use. If your getting into Djing and dont have the bucks for the Pioneers these are a great way to go I got a pair of these must be 3 years ago and one is just starting to go out. they got quite a bit of use at home mostly some gigs not many. That being said I'm still happy with my purchase.
It works good. It's for professional use but it's easy to manipulate. I bought two of these Numarks axis 9 tabletop CD Player, I'm proud of my deal. It does everything that I expected from it.
great for beginners or pros. pay no attention to these other commentators - they are clearly not pro djs. i've been gigging regularly with these babies for almost 2 years without any problems. as far as layout and interface, i even prefer them to pioneer 1000's - i think the cueing is easier as well as pitch adjustment. these cdjs are fantastic, although i did have some problems with one when it was new but numark replaced it no problem.
I have them almost one month now and I have done six gigs with them, so far they are doing the job very well I would recomend this player for young DJ's now starting out.
The effects were cool, and the re-start function allowed for some unique mixing. The short lifespan turneed me off unfortunately. Bam - out 400 bucks. I took it for repair at a reputable shop and was told it wasn't repairable. Before long, it stopped playing altogether. I don't know if my problem was typical or not, but I had an Axis 9 for less than a year before the display began to glitch and the player started taking longer and longer to cue. Mind you, it never left the bedroom - it wasn't dropped, shipped, or otherwise mistreated. Again- don't know if this is typical Numark quality or not, but I'm switching to Pioneer.I will say, I did enjoy it while it worked.
